HOPE—Patricia Piccinini
For an immersive experience this summer, head to Tai Kwun Contemporary for a large-scale exhibition by renowned Australian artist Patricia Piccinini. HOPE features over 50 detailed and highly imaginative works including human-scale hyper-realistic sculptures, installations suspended from the ceiling, paintings, moving images and more.

New Moroism
“New Moroism” brings together four emerging artists of East Asian heritage — Chris Huen Sin-Kan, Timothy Lai, Su Yu-Xin and Michael Ho — to explore the aesthetic paradigm Moroism, looking at the ideation of figuration in painting. Works are grounded in personal narrative and include large-scale oil paintings, dynamic landscapes, hand-made pigments, superimposed images and more.

Anselm Kiefer: Golden Age
German artist Anselm Kiefer celebrates the mythology that surrounds the ancient ‘Golden Age’, putting on display a large-scale installation and paintings created between 2020 to 2022, accompanied by salon talks, guided tours and educational materials.

Velocity
Part of this year’s French May, Sin Sin Fine Art presents French-Colombian artist Pablo Posada Pernikoff’s works for its 30th anniversary. “Velocity” ponders movement, momentum, change and time through abstract and soft shapes made from hard, unforgiving materials like glass, crystal, metal, and handmade paper.

With the Sun, She Quells the Night – A Tribute to Rebecca Pan
CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) presents this tribute exhibition to Hong Kong cultural pioneer Rebecca Pan, whose career spans entertainment, music and art, and who continues to inspire emerging talents today. Conceived in close collaboration with Pan herself, see images, costumes, music records, news clippings and more.

Off Skin
Young Soy Gallery presents “Off Skin”, a show championing the craftsmanship and artistry of tattoo artists. The only catch is that the body of work being exhibited will not be on a body at all! Mark your calendar — Japan’s teamLab Future Park is making its way to Hong Kong this July!
